Soul Bird’s Programs

“My granddaughters have experienced trauma and I have tried so hard to help them. This program gave me insight on what is going on inside them, and what else I can do to help.”

Our programs keep it real and keep you connected.

We work with real people, on real issues, and see real results.

Whether you’re an agency, an organization or a solo knowledge-seeker, our programs provide stepping stones toward a deeper understanding of the impact of complex childhood trauma on the brain, body and behavioral patterns.

We alternate our programs frequently so be sure to check this page regularly or contact us at hello@soulbirdconsulting.info to learn about what we have coming up.

“This information was entirely new to me, and I feel that having this new perspective on trauma can really help me be effective with my clients.”

Biographical Timeline Facilitators Cohort (Ohio)

Immerse yourself into the foundational elements of trauma-responsive care, the ways in which trauma impacts the brain, body, and behavioral patterns, and unpacking key insights offered by experts in the field of neuroscience in this interactive program.

The Biographical Timeline Facilitators Cohort is an 8-month hybrid program that works to deepen participants' understanding and practice of using the timeline framework to successfully learn from a person's biography. Training is conducted in 12 sessions on a semi-monthly basis.

Participants will learn:

  • How to prepare yourself, a family and a team for a Biographical Timeline session

  • The art and practice of Biographical Timeline Facilitation

  • Best practices for supporting a team in learning from a person’s biography

  • How to grow resilience within yourself and others

This program is facilitated by Sarah Buffie and supported by regional hosts for live in-person practice sessions.

Trauma Responsive Lens Program

Beyond learning about trauma-informed and responsive tools, interventions, and curricula that educators, families and human service professionals can implement as a way to help those in their care, you’ll get a deeper understanding of the WHY behind what we’re experiencing.

This understanding allows us to discover that it’s not just what you DO with someone that can make a big difference, but also how you ARE with them; your tone of voice, your posture, your ability to sit in the pause and respond instead of react in certain situations.

This is hard work! However, you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re interested in bringing this program or a similar training experience to your organization, contact us to learn more.
